Delete your Covenant Mobile Auto Care account
The short version
How to delete your account in 30 seconds
- Email hello@covenantautocare.com with subject "Delete my account".
- Send from the email address you used to sign up (so we can verify it's you).
- We confirm within 2 business days, fully delete within 14 days.
- Your account, contact info, addresses, vehicle records, and service photos are permanently deleted.
- Anonymized financial records are kept 7 years because US tax law requires it.
01How to request deletion
Send a short email from the address you used to create your Covenant Mobile Auto Care account. This lets us verify the request is really from you, without asking you to log in or send personal documents.
The email body can be as simple as:
- Subject: Delete my account
- Body: "Please delete my Covenant Mobile Auto Care account."
- Optional: tell us why you're leaving — it helps us improve, but you don't have to.
02What happens after you ask
Within 2 business days: a real person on our team replies confirming we got the request and have started the process. If we need to verify identity (e.g. you emailed from a different address), we'll ask in that reply.
Within 14 days: deletion is complete. We send you a final email confirming it's done. After that, your account no longer exists in any of our customer-facing systems.
If you change your mind: tell us within those 14 days and we can stop the process. After deletion is complete, we cannot restore the account — you'd need to sign up fresh.
03What gets permanently deleted

04What we keep, and why
A small amount of information is retained for legal compliance and fraud prevention. None of it is used to contact you or rebuild a profile.

Without your name attached, this looks like "$120 oil change in Matawan on 2026-04-12" — useful for our taxes, useless for identifying you. |
| Audit logs (who did what, when), with your user ID replaced by a non-recoverable hash | 2 years | Security investigations, fraud detection. The logs no longer link back to you personally after deletion. |

05Deleting some data without deleting your account
Today, account deletion is all-or-nothing — we can't (yet) delete just your service photos or just your address history while keeping the account. If you want to remove specific items, email us at hello@covenantautocare.com and we'll handle it manually. Granular self-service deletion is on the roadmap for v0.2.
06What if you uninstall the app instead?
Uninstalling the app from your phone does not delete your account or your data — it only removes the app from your device. Your account stays open until you explicitly request deletion via the steps above. This is intentional: if you reinstall, you can pick up where you left off.
07Questions or problems
If something goes wrong with your deletion request, or you don't hear back within 2 business days, please email hello@covenantautocare.com again with subject "Follow-up on deletion request." A founder will personally look into it.
